This panel will delve into the unusual intergenerational friendship and professional collaboration between Moog Synthesizer inventor Bob Moog and Raymond Scott. Scott always considered himself to have a doctorate in “Primitive Engineering” and he and Bob Moog had thousands of hours of conversations about music technology, theory and practice. Herb Deutsch, co-creator of the Moog synth, will be on the panel and share his personal recollections of Scott and Moog. Corey Goldberg wrote his Rutgers University Masters Thesis on Raymond Scott and therefore is an expert on all aspects of his career. And Tom Rhea, will be joining us with pre-recorded video comments.
